Overiew of Vietnam Military History Museum
Located on Thang Long Avenue in Tay Mo and Dai Mo wards of Nam Tu Liem District, the Vietnam Military History Museum grand opened with free admission on Friday November 1st, 2024 to the end of December, 2024.
Built by the Ministry of National Defense, the museum spans 386,600 square meters and is marked by the 45-meter Victory Tower at its entrance. The main building includes four above-ground floors and a basement, with a total investment of approximately VND2.5 trillion (US$9.88 million).
The main building is designed in a modern, simple style and creates an intuitive historical flow, in harmony with the building’s architectural lighting and natural light; Using a multimedia equipment system combined with a directional sound system so that visitors can interact in a exciting experience. The highlight not to be missed in the museum grounds is the Victory Tower with a height of 45 m. This number represents the milestone of the Vietnamese nation gaining independence in 1945.
The museum officially opens on November 1, 2024, on weekdays (except Monday and Friday), serving visitors with free admission until the end of December 2024.
